The Barnett Outreach Inauguration & Induction Ceremony: A Celebration of Youth Empowerment.

On the morning of April 4th, 2024, the William Knibb Memorial Baptist Church was filled with a palpable sense of anticipation and excitement. The occasion? The Inauguration & Induction Ceremony of The Barnett Outreach—a landmark event marking the formal establishment of an organization dedicated to the holistic development and empowerment of Jamaican youth.


The ceremony commenced promptly at 10 AM with a dignified procession of inductees, setting the tone for a day filled with inspiration and promise. The devotion, followed by a heartfelt prayer led by Mr. Jerome Hanson, invited a sense of reverence and unity among the attendees.

Ms. Paulhannah Samuels warmly welcomed everyone, followed by Ms. Keddria Francis, who eloquently explained the introduction and significance of the event, underscoring the pivotal role The Barnett Outreach is poised to play in the community.



The highlight of the morning was the Founder’s Charge delivered by Mr. Omario Barnett, whose vision and passion for youth empowerment resonated deeply with all present. His words served as both a call to action and a reminder of the organization's mission to instill purpose, resilience, and unity among Jamaican youth.

Musical and artistic interludes added a touch of celebration to the proceedings. Performances by Ms. Vineilia Orr, Mr. Duranie James, Mr. Oniquekio Watson, and Mr. Travis Angus showcased the incredible talent within the community, further emphasizing the organization's commitment to nurturing and showcasing youth talent.

The induction of the executive and members was a moment of pride and commitment. Each inductee pledged to uphold the values and mission of The Barnett Outreach, solidifying their roles as leaders and changemakers.


A poignant segment of the ceremony was the introduction of special projects dedicated to the memory of those who have transitioned. This moment of silence was a powerful reminder of the importance of community and remembrance.


In support of the organization's future initiatives, a collection was taken in aid of The Barnett Outreach Scholarship Fund, highlighting the community's willingness to invest in the education and future of its young members.


Ms. Geanna Thompson's vote of thanks expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event. The ceremony concluded with presentations to the inductees, the recitation of The Barnett Outreach Pledge, and the playing of the National Anthem—symbols of commitment and national pride.
